To run your business with an SI agent, give it access to your real data and hand it the repetitive, cross-tool work first: reporting, drafting, turning meetings into tasks and quick analysis. Describe the output you want, not the steps. The CEMP SI Agent sits inside CEMP Business beside your databases, boards, files, calendar and retail figures, which is what lets it answer from your records instead of guessing.
The playbook in five moves
- Start with reporting: the clearest, fastest win
- Move to drafting: the agent already knows the details
- Turn meetings into board cards, not notes
- Use it as an analyst, but ask for the working
- Keep single-module tasks in the classic view
1. Start with reporting
Reporting is repetitive, structured and universally disliked: the ideal first task.
- Ask for the number, not the file: "Pull last month's revenue by payment method and chart it."
- Ask for the comparison: "Compare this quarter's inventory turnover with last quarter and highlight the biggest movers."
- Ask for the narrative: "Draft a one-page Q2 summary for the board with the three most significant changes."
Why this beats a general chatbot. A chatbot needs you to paste the data in, which is slow, error-prone and leaves a copy of your commercial information in someone else's history. An agent inside your system reads the live table.
2. Move to drafting
Most business writing is assembly: a proposal restates known facts about a client, scope and price. Because the agent reads Loom tables and Vault documents, requests can point at records: "Draft a delivery confirmation for order 4417." "Build a presentation from the brief in Vault."
- Specify audience and length.
- Name the source record or file.
- Review before sending. The agent drafts; a person decides.

3. Turn meetings into action
Meeting notes are where accountability goes to die. The agent can turn notes into discrete action items, assign them and place them as cards on the right Deck board. The meeting ends and the work is already in the system. This is an underrated agent skill: converting one form of information into another. Notes into tasks, spreadsheet into chart, contract into summary.
4. Use the agent as an analyst, carefully
Ask which product line is losing margin and you will get an answer fast. Two disciplines keep it trustworthy:
- Ask for the working: the figures behind the conclusion.
- Ask the same question two ways: if two framings disagree, that tells you something about your data.
For recurring reports, see how to automate business reporting.
5. Keep some work in the classic view
Dragging cards, scanning a table or adjusting a schedule is often faster with a mouse. A useful rule: use the agent for anything that crosses modules, and the classic view for anything inside one.
A first week worth copying
- Day one: load one real dataset into Loom, such as customers or inventory.
- Day two: ask the agent three questions you would normally answer in a spreadsheet.
- Day three: have it draft one recurring weekly document.
- Day four: upload two working files to Vault and ask for a comparison.
- Day five: run one meeting and convert the notes into assigned board cards.
By Friday you will know which parts of your operation the agent handles well. That is a better basis for adopting SI than any vendor demo, including ours. New to the idea? Read what is an AI agent?
